Chicken Burgers!!!

This is probably one of our go-to recipes that we kind of developed from another recipe. It’s the Fourth of July (2018) and it was different than any other one since I’ve been with my husband.  This is HIS first year not in RETAIL!!!  His position now has him doing different things and does not require him to be in the store, throwing stock!  So, he was home by 130 and we got to spend the afternoon AND evening together.  Normally, that is NOT the case. A few years back, I found this recipe for spinach parmesan chicken meatballs on Pinterest. […]

Some Helpful Tips When You Know Someone Going Through Infant Loss

We are 10 months and 2 days since we experienced the single worst thing that’s ever happened to us. Never in a million years did I ever think we would be in the group of parents that have gone through this.  No one ever really does, I guess.  But especially when you have a near perfect pregnancy, you REALLY don’t expect it. I wanted to write a little bit of what helped (and frankly what didn’t) in the first few hours, days, and weeks of the loss of our son, Aaron. (These are MY own experiences, everyone is different.  So […]

July 2018 Tupperware Opportunity Info

July 2018 Tupperware Opportunity. So as I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I am a Tupperware Consultant.  I am not as active as I was in the first 2.5 years (only because of my lifestyle getting busier and starting up my Virtual Assistant Veronica business), but I still believe in the product and when the deals are good, it’s hard to pass up sharing it. So this post is about the Tupperware Opportunity.  How to become a Tupperware Consultant.  And what’s all in it for YOU, if you decide to take the plunge. At the beginning of every sales month […]

Saturday Catch-up

Well hello all!  It’s been quite a while since my last post.  (Not a surprise, you could probably see that at the top of many-a-post of mine). Anyhoo! Current situation…Full belly (pancakes and bacon with the hub and kid), sitting on the couch with the natural light coming the window, light breeze from the fan, and my feet soaking in epsom salt and a fancy shower gel my mother-in-law got me for Christmas. Yes, you read that right, I am SOAKING MY FEET IN AS HOT AS I COULD MAKE IT WATER!!! And after my 30 minutes are up, […]

From terror to ease…I joined a gym…

So anyone who follows me on Instagram and/or is friends with me on Facebook saw that I joined Planet Fitness last week.  I posted that I did something terrifying!   After the birth of our second son, I have not been able to get myself in gear to lose the pregnancy weight (aka cookie and ice cream weight).  My husband is very encouraging in helping me get healthier. While I was on “maternity leave” I had gotten into a good rhythm.  After dropping Ayden off at school, I would come home and take Fiona (aka Crazy Dog) for a mile […]

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…sort of…

This is truly my favorite time of the year.  As soon I feel that first break in the weather (which isn’t much of a break, but we Floridians can sense it). As soon as “Fall” hits here in Florida, it just makes me instantly happy. Thanksgiving…my sister’s family, our family, and whatever friends want to gather at my in-laws’ house and we enough a fairly relaxed late morning-early evening of visiting and EATING!!!! Then it begins, we can finally start decorating for Christmas!!! (I would start in September if you ask me). And even though I’ve been listening to Christmas […]

A few more firsts this week

Well…this concludes another week of firsts for me. Sunday was my first in-home Tupperware party.  And not only that, but I had two, one at 11am and one at 2pm.  I survived, whew! This was also my first week back to work.  I worked Monday-Friday during the hours that Ayden was in school. My first encounter with a customer (that as I walked up that first day I thought how I wasn’t ready to see a couple customers).  And he was one of those that I wasn’t ready to see.  But he came looking for me.  I was so glad […]

Some days are normal, some days mess with my head.

You always hear things like “he/she has good days and bad days” when referring to how someone is coping after a tragedy or something.  And you believe them, doesn’t always sound cliche, so you usually don’t think too much of it. But it’s true. Some days I feel pretty much normal.  I might have a sad moment or tear up, maybe have a good cry. And then there are a few days, like my yesterday, that total eff with my head. I can’t seem to collect my thoughts, I feel anxious, I can’t make decisions, I don’t know what I […]

So, we’ve never been landscapers.  We’ve sorta tried a couple of times in the just-over-ten-years that we’ve lived here to having something nice looking out front of our house.  But it’s just never been a priority.  The only thing we’ve been able to successfully grow is pineapple plants and aloe. Aloe grows like a weed btw… Toward the end of the this last pregnancy, Berkley told me that while he was off work and home with the baby and me, he was going to try to do some landscaping out front of the house.  At the time, I rolled my […]

My dealings with paranoia…

I have worked for our local grocery chain, Publix, since I was 17 years old.  Last May would have been my 17 year anniversary, but I left for 22 months when Ayden was born.  I have been back for 4 years now. One of the nice things is working for Publix is kinda like Cheers…”where everybody knows your name”. Also…everyone knows your business. Which can be good or bad depending on who you are and what your business is. One of the hard things I dealt with after losing Aaron was that I didn’t want to go into any Publix […]
